Visit the National Parks of the Rockies by RV

By Chuck Woodbury

If you travel by RV and haven’t visited the National Parks of the Rockies you'll get a great idea of what to expect if you visit there in the wonderful 65-minute VHS home video, Summer in the Parks...the Rockies by RV.

Hosts Bob and Judy Howen host yet another RV adventure (learn about their others) which takes you through some of America’s most spectacular scenery. The trip starts in Rocky Mountain National Park where you’ll drive over Trail Ridge Road which cuts through the park and reaches altitudes of higher than 11,000 feet. (take it easy when walking at this altitude: there isn't a whole lotta air to breathe).

Then it’s on to Grand Teton National Park with dramatic views of the “purple mountain majesty” of the Grand Teton Range.

From there it’s a short hop to the world's first National Park, Yellowstone, with all the grandeur and thermal wonders of this unique environment.

From Yellowstone it’s off to Glacier National Park in Northern Montana. Glacier has been described as “the crown of the continent” and you will see why as you travel the 52 miles of the “Going to the Sun Road”…a scenic and engineering marvel. Plus there are stops on the eastern side of Glacier in Two Medicine, Many Glacier and Waterton Lakes National Park in Canada.

And if that’s not enough, Bob and Judy will take you along for rides on five scenic drives in Wyoming and Montana that you just should not miss. These drives include the Medicine Wheel Passage (featuring the “Oh My God hill”), the Big Horn Skyway, the Cloud Peak Scenic Highway, the Chief Joseph Scenic Highway and the Beartooth Highway.

Along with all the scenery and activities in the parks, you’ll also get information on driving routes, gateway cities, campgrounds and other useful information for planning your trip. And even if you have already “been there and done that” you would be hard pressed to find a better souvenir to re-live the experience or a better gift to give your spouse or some other RV enthusiast.

Summer in the Parks...the Rockies by RV is $19.95.
