Bureau of Reclamation: Lakes Guide
A Guide to Recreational Opportunities including camping at 250 Lakes and Reservoirs in 17 western states

The Bureau of Reclamation is an agency of the Department of Interior that provides more than 80 million visitors a year with exciting water-based recreation. They have constructed 250 lakes and reservoirs in 17 western states. Recreation areas surrounding each lake provide opportunities for camping and picnicking. Nearly 200 of these areas are non-federal parks such as state and county parks. Many areas are also managed by the US Forest Service or National Park Service.

Bureau of Reclamation Lakes Guide provides information about each Reclamation project including: name and location, who manages the recreation areas, and contacts for more information. A chart indicates the activities and facilities found at each lake. Another chart shows the type of fish inhabiting each lake.

Nearly every project constructed by the Bureau of Reclamation is included. Each is numbered and indicated on a map. A brief description tells you where the lake is located and who manages the recreation areas. Contact information is given so you can obtain more detailed information. Icons follow each listing that show you at a glance what type of facilities are available.

Includes projects in the following states:

* Arizona
* California
* Colorado
* Idaho
* Kansas
* Montana
* Nebraska
* Nevada
* New Mexico
* North Dakota
* Oklahoma
* Oregon
